28f Birfday.

You know something? Yesterday was my 28th Birthday. And it was a good day. I have been feeling pretty happy and kinda energized lately and since I got back from tour, I've been doing something almost every day. The night leading up to my birthday was really fun. I had planned to go see Patton Oswalt for free at Gower Gulch. Then Eric stopped by and wanted me to help him get weed, so we went to the weed store. I told him about my plans for that evening and he wanted to come, so a few hours later he picked me up and we went to Hollywood and smoked weed. The show was really cool and fun and we saw some good comedians like Natasha Luggero (LOVE her) and Nick Kroll. Also this old guy named Ron Lynch, he was pretty silly. Zach Galifanakis called on the phone. Patton couldn't make it, but that was ok. Then it was my birthday! We went to Chick Fil A. My first meal of 28 was a 6 nuggets and waffle fries kids' meal with Dr. Pepper. It came with a book called "Cowborg" or something, but I didn't really want that. Something I noticed was that there were no protesters at the restaurant, which I thought was really weird, because there were quite a few just a couple of months ago.
Where'd they all go?

So ANYWAY, yesterday, day of my birth, I had planned to go on a haunted cruise in the LBC with some buddies, but it turns out that thing was closed! So instead, I did the following things:

-Woke up.
-Smoked weed.
-Talked to my boyfriend on the phone.
-Opened cards from my parents and my friend Eric. I've noticed that in lieu of cash or check, my parents have been sending me Walgreens gift cards on birth- and holidays. How interesting.
-Went outside to get coffee and a bagel because, god dammit, I deserve it. The coffee shop on the corner just changed ownership, and now instead of a nice Korean family it appears to be run by a few young girls with monroes and slouchy knit hats hanging on for dear life to the backs of their heads. But! At least their bagels are somewhat better. Coffee is not as good, but the espresso is ok.
-"Watched" TV and looked at the internet.
-Learned that the haunted cruise was closed.
-Looked up corn mazes and pumpkin patches in L.A. There is a PP in West Hollywood!
-Talked to Eric and Mukta about future potential spooky hangouts.
-Took a shower.
-Decided I wanted to eat a cupcake.
-Took bong rips.
-Listened to music on my computer, which I NEVER do, just too lazy to do anything else and am trying to make a mixtape also.
-Decided to take the bus to Santa Monica/the beach.
-Went to the bus stop.
-Realized I should have brought my brother's video recorder (I am making a video).
-Went back to the house.
-Got the video camera.
-Went back to the bus stop.
-Waited for the bus.
-Boarded the bus.
-Got off on Main St. in Santa Monica.
-Told a transient that I had no money.
-Proceeded to walk right the fuck into Buffalo Exchange, I dunno if he saw though.
-Tried on some clothes.
-Bought a kewl long sleeved shirt. FALL!
-Walked around looking for a place that could potentially have cupcakes.
-Walked to the beach.
-Walked along the beach for a long time.
-Got too close to the water and waves made my shoes wet.
-Watched the sunset next to the pier.
-Stared at the lights from the Ferris Wheel and roller coaster for a very long time.
-Went up to the pier and walked through the arcade.
-Purchased and ate a birthday churro. Ain't no cupcake but they just smelled so good! (Note: after eating the churro I learned that it was just ok, and still wished I had a cupcake.)
-Video camera filled up and I was really hungry so I started home.
-Walked around 3rd Street Promenade for a while.
-Went into a puzzles and games store to see "what was up in the world of puzzles". I think I need more of those in my life. They are expensive though.
-Discovered a secret hidden candy store that had every type of candy EVER, and was secret! I got Nerds and tons of super fresh salt water taffy. Also a "Turkish Delight", cuz I've always wondered what that shit was, but it was hella disgusting and weird.
-Spent almost $10 at the candy store.
-Walked to the bus stop.
-Sat on the ground and ate taffy.
-Waited for the bus for 8 minutes.
-Boarded the bus.
-Got off on Santa Monica Blvd.
-Went into the Carniceria.
-Looked at bread and rolls.
-Walked down the alley to the back entrance of my building.
-Unlocked the gate.
-Went in.
-Said hello to my brother Ryan and in return received a "Happy Birthday!" from him.
-Ryan's friend Jeff came over to work on Halloween costumes and watch spooky movies (a tradition they celebrate every Wednesday. I know yesterday was Tuesday but Ryan is going to see "The Book of Mormon" tonight. Lucky dog.)
-Got into my PJs.
-Watched TV and ate toast. I had made soup, but it was wicked gross.
-Called my boyfriend but he was half asleep.
-Received my first call on the CG hotline from someone with a North Miami number who wanted to know some of the lyrics to "Cujo". He also suggested I call aNOTHER hotline, but was unable to tell me what sort of hotline it was, or anything about it.
-Googled the number he had given me and discovered it belonged to a loyal CG fan and twitter follower.
-Did not call the hotline.
-Watched that show "Flipping Out" and ate Nerds and taffy and drank iced green tea.
-Took so many bong rips.
-Received a second call on the CG hotline from a boy named Duncan who proceeded to serenade me with his rendition of "I am a Girlfriend". It was awesome! I was impressed by the fact that he was able to play the leads and stuff all live and shit and it was in time and he didn't mess up at all. I am always so impressed by people who don't mess up! Anyway he said nice things to me and wished me a happy birthday. What an amazing fan!
-Took SO MANY BONG RIPS.
-Fell asleep.
