I am covering "Just Like I Do" by The Mission 120.
The Mission 120 was a pop punk band from Boston, MA circa the late nineties early twenty otts.
They were on Fork in Hand Records which was a small label that I "interned" for when I was a senior in highschool.
They had a really good EP called "Turn Up Your Radio" and this song is on it.
I love this song.
so once again you left town
and I didn't get the chance to tell ya
just how much
that I like havin' you around
half the problem is you're so busy
and it always makes me feel shitty
uh huh
that ya never can be found
did you know I dreamed of you last night?
did you know you're just my type?
I'm just your type too
and now and then it might be nice
if I could give you a ring
but I can't because
you didn't pay your phone bill
or something
still I stay at home
and you don't call at all
and now my sorrows are drowning in alcohol
I'll probably make myself sick thinkin' of you
do you make yourself sick too?
just like I do?
and maybe it's time I told you
my point of view
and all my thoughts are there, but they're not getting through
and maybe it's time I called you up
and called you on it so I'll see
if you're thinkin' bout me
like I'm thinkin' bout you
