Hi, let me tell you about my weekend.
It was fun!
Actually I will go back a little forther cuz I did stuff that didn't happen during the weekend.
But it was damn close.
THURSDAY in fact.
My friend Dana was in town on business. Dana is a good buddy of mine from Boston who I first met when my old band played with his band I HAVE EARS at Charlie's Kitchen.
He was staying at an incredibly posh hotel in Beverly Hills called The SLS.
I took the bus to Morphine Man's house beforehand. He didn't move yet! Yay!
He is probably the nicest drug dealer ever. I am gonna miss that lil' guy. Actually he is pretty tall.
Then I took the bus to Dana's hotel and we decided to do some drugs and then go eat dinner at the incredibly fancy restaurant in the hotel called BAZAAR.
More like BIZARRE/utter shit.
We got tapas style dinner and everything we tried was disgusting.
It was supposed to be really high end gourmet shit, I think, but it was just so gross. Call me uncultured but I didn't even understand what half of the words on the menu meant. Like WTF is fennel? Is that an animal?
I got gazpacho as one of the plates. Gazpacho! What was I thinking?
I don't even like tomatoes. Certainly not in liquid form and ice-cold.
But I suppose there is enough gazpacho for all. Now isn't there.
So that meal was not appealing and made me puke. Thinking about it actually makes me a little upset.
(Also coulda been and probably was the drugs, but I like them better, so we will place 100% of the blame on this restaurant's jacked up food.)
The rest of the night consisted of Dana getting wasted and the both of us doing drugs and smoking butts in his amazing hotel room and watching The Simpsons and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
We told each other secrets and talked about a lot of stuff.
We stayed up almost all night and bonded hard.
It was really fun.
The next day, Dana let me share his airport cab with him and dropped me off at home. I slept for the rest of the day EVEN though I said I would go see Crocodiles and Heavy Hawaii at The Echo.
On Saturday morning Heavy Hawaii picked me up and we rode to San Diego together.
We hung around at Matt Bahamas's house, smoked weed, played weird board games (like Pac-Man, which is just as much fun as the action-packed video game of the same name!)
Oh, and I won. I love it when that happens!
I also love it when it is MY turn.
I practiced in their garage.
I ate oatmeal.
I put too much water in it.
Then we went to the show at The Casbah.
It was a pretty amazing show.
Lots of friends were there and Crocodiles kinda blew me away.
I was sort of excited to meet Tamaryn cuz for some reason I thought she was gonna be really nice.
Haha.
Anyway, I forgot all my comics and shirts at home. I got a Crocodiles shirt and it RULES, I am actually wearing it now.
Have been since Sunday.
It might be my new favorite shirt.
After the show, a bunch of peeps went to the Raw Moans house including me.
It was pretty fun and not too outta control.
Everyone there was SOOOOO drunk.
Most of my time at this party was spent doing drugs in Joseph's room and singing along to The Rentals and Blink 182 in the living room with Matt.
Gary let me sleep in his bed. It was extremely soft and comfy.
He slept underneath the kitchen table.
On Sunday I was supposed to get a rideshare with some craigslist creep, but he wanted to leave at 9 am which would have meant about 2 hours of sleep for me, so I told him to fuck right off and slept until noon instead.
Then we got Mexican breakfast at Pokeeeez.
later I worked on my EP cover art, laughed at missed connection/casual encounter posts with Jeff and Gary, smoked weed with Joseph and tried on his jackets, and watched "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" with Gary because that movie FUCKING RULES.
He gave me weed candy, new sunglasses, and fed me a pasta meal.
I got a craigslist ride the next morning at around 10 am.
At first I was scared because the dude was driving a bit erratically.
But after he got unlost everything was fine and by the end of the car ride we were both chewing bubble gum and wearing my sunglasses.
(I sorta wanted to take a picture of him wearing them, but I figured it would make him think that Americans are creepy motherfuckers.
I'm not very representative of the general population unfortunately. Or am I?)
Anyway, this was a great rideshare experience.
My companion was a rather delightful Indian man who is studying at LMU and has only been in the U.S. for one month!
He told me about arranged marriage celebrations and how in India there are elephants everywhere jus walkin' around.
I told him about "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and about how fucked up I think it is that the government makes these dumb collectible quarters and shit that you have to pay like $30 for.
He couldn't believe it either.
He said, "This concept is one I have never heard of before!"
I love him.
So that was pretty much my weekend.
It was very nice.
I was very high most of the time and got to hang out with fun people.
And that's all I can ever really ask for.
The End.
